Confirmed: Secret Garden Tour Tickets

Thank you for purchasing tickets to PAAM’s 2023 Secret Garden Tour, held on Sunday, July 16 from 10am-3pm.

While we don’t reveal the exact location of the tour until the morning-of, we can tell you that PAAM (460 Commercial Street) is the approximate mid-way point. The total distance of the tour is 1.1-miles, and the walk from the parking lot to Garden 1 is 1-mile.

A few points to note:

TICKET PICK-UP, PARKING, AND TRANSPORTATION

Ticket booklets are available to be picked up and purchased at the parking lots (cash and check only), PAAM (cash, check, and cards), and at Garden 1, the location for which we will announce on our Facebook and Instagram pages on Sunday at 9:45am (cash and check only).

We are again offering free, first-come first-served parking at 94 Harry Kemp Way and across the street at 56 Howland Street (BY&D Insurance). One small change: the Registration Table, where you pick up your ticket booklet, will move across the street from its prior location to the much shadier lot at 56 Howland Street.

If the parking lot is full by the time you arrive, you can pick up your ticket from a volunteer and then go park your car elsewhere before beginning the tour (Parking in Provincetown). Street parking can be found by those with keen eyes or incredible luck.

PAAM staff and volunteers offer a “shuttle service” in their personal vehicles between the parking lot, PAAM, and Garden 1. We are delighted to announce that this year a fleet of pedi-cabs, donated by b\well, will also be offering Secret Garden Tour shuttle service!

Keep in mind that the busiest time to take a shuttle (and therefore longest wait time) tends to be from 10-11:30am.

There will be shuttles and pedi-cabs running from PAAM back to the parking lot until 3:15PM.

REST AND REFRESHMENT

We encourage you to visit PAAM (460 Commercial Street) where there will be a refreshment table sponsored by Friends of Provincetown Parks and Gardens, as well as restrooms, A/C, and five art exhibitions, including Gems from the Permanent Collection, which features sketches by Edward Hopper. Your ticket grants you free admission to the Museum until closing at 5pm.

WATER

Please bring your own water bottle. We’ll have water-filling stations throughout the tour in addition to the fountain at the Museum, but will no longer be distributing plastic water bottles.

WEATHER

The forecast for Sunday is showing possible rain showers, so please consider bringing an umbrella or wearing rain-gear. The tour happens rain or shine.

TERRAIN

This tour has some steep driveways and stairs, please wear comfortable shoes. There are many beautiful homes and gardens along the route that are not technically on the tour, but be sure to marvel at their beauty regardless!

If you have any concerns about accessibility, please reach out to Lesley (lmarchessault@paam.org, 508-487-1750 x112) who will discuss the physical route with you in greater detail.
