iPhoneography, or mobile digital art, has grown into an international movement.

Thousands of people with varying backgrounds have discovered how to capture an image spontaneously with their cell phone camera and edit it on the same device. Access to this kind of immediate expression of art has never existed before. Over the last 10 years it has become widely accepted as a legitimate form of art around the world. Books have been published about mobile digital art and exhibits are held internationally.

ABOUT THE TEACHING ARTIST

Rebecca Bruyn defines herself as an alternative photographer who uses an antique printing method from the mid 1800’s called Cyanotype printing. She uses the images taken with a 35 mm camera and/or a cell phone camera to create unique handmade photographs using a paint brush on watercolor paper. More recently she has become an active contributor to the mobile photography art movement through a variety of Facebook pages dedicated to the digital art community.
