< Back to Workshops

Thursday, February 16, 9am-1pm

1 session | Free for PAAM members

If you’re not a current member, you can sign up on the Workshop Registration form (link below).

This workshop is full, please email Ruby (rubyt@paam.org) to be added to the waitlist.

In this free members workshop students will explore a variety of picture framing methods.

Several different demonstrations will be given on mounting techniques and mat cutting. Students are encouraged to bring their own work on paper, no bigger than 12×16. We will use archival materials to give students a hands-on lesson in mounting their own work, so they can walk away with much more confidence in how to assemble their own frames. In addition to technique, students will learn about a variety of materials including mat board, hinging tape, and glass.

*Please note: this workshop takes place off-site at Pilgrim Framing, 5 Old Firehouse Rd, North Truro, MA 02652. Parking is available, and participants will receive more detailed information after registration. Information for participants with mobility issues: there are no steps entering the shop, and a short, slightly uneven path from the parking area to the shop entrance. Please contact rubyt@paam.org to discuss any specific physical access needs you may have.
