HERMAN MARIL: Search for the Essence

SKU: 628 Category:

Herman Maril’s art from the beginning showed a consistent development: it was nature-based, abstractly organized, and simplified in form and content. The core of the exhibition is a group of sixteen major oils from the artist’s late period, showing his treatment of four recurring themes — the sea, mountains, the studio, and figures. When we think of Herman Maril, we think of paintings that convey joy in life and the creative process through strikingly simple means.
