ABOUT THE TEACHING ARTIST

Stephen Wells is a Cape Cod native who lives and works in Truro and Provincetown.  His studio practice has focused on white line printing, oil painting and on honing his skills as an art instructor. Wells typically spends winters immersed in a variety of projects from stenciling buses to carving spoons.  In addition to being a working artist, Stephen has owned a frame shop in the Provincetown/Truro area since 2013 and has framed thousands of works of art from all over the world.  He is exceptionally passionate about learning, teaching, and collaborating within the local art community. Stephen participated in the newly formed Rugosa Residency in 2021 and 2022 and in 2022 became a teaching artist at Provincetown Art Association and Museum (PAAM).
