Introduction to Drawing with Valerie Isaacs

May 23 @ 10:00 am 12:30 pm

< Back to Workshops

Tuesday-Thursday, May 23-25, 10am-12:30pm

3 sessions | $140 for members, $150 for non-members*

This three-day workshop will introduce you to four basic observational drawing skills.

Contour drawing will sharpen your powers of observation and help you to understand volume and character. Seeing through a grid will relate 3-dimensional space to 2-dimensional paper. Observation of positive and negative shapes will help students to see proportions and relationships, and put them on paper. Thinking in boxes and planes will make light and shade easier. Leave with skills and inspiration to continue your drawing practice with confidence!

*Materials included in the price of workshop
