Projects in Monoprint With Antonia DaSilva

November 19 @ 9:30 am 12:30 pm

Tuesday November 19 – Friday November 22, 9:30am-12:30pm
4 sessions | $280 for members, $300 for non-members

In this all levels workshop we will explore a wide range of approaches to creating monoprints—unique, one-of-a-kind prints.

We will discuss registration and bleed printing and focus on working in layers to develop a complex image using simple techniques and materials. Demonstrations will include basic printshop usage as well as various additive and reductive methods of platemaking: painting on plates, using found and handmade stencils, split fountain rolls, trace monotype, wiping out plates, and using ghost prints. Come with a project in mind, or, if you are new to printing, come ready to explore.

Materials included in price of workshop. Students may bring found stencil material if they wish: Lace, yarn, netting, stickers, found paper stencils, thin elastic bands, etc.
