Sculptural Book Making with Anne Corrsin

June 20 @ 10:00 am 3:30 pm

Thursday, June 20, 10am-3:30pm

1 session | $165 for members, $180 for non-members

Basic materials like thread, adhesive, paper, and collage materials will be provided. Please feel free to bring photographs and your own collage materials as well.

In this one-day workshop, students will be introduced to a simple book structure: the Accordion Style Binding, also known as the Concertina Binding.

This form is easily adapted to more complex variations. Students are encouraged to bring materials to create form and content (photographs, decorated papers, plastic, rubber, etc.) We will explore the book form as pure object and as a holder of content. Variations on the accordion structure will be introduced as time allows.
