< Back to Workshops

Monday and Tuesday, June 26 and 27, 9:30am-12:30pm

3 sessions | $140 for members $150 for non-members

In this Foundations workshop, color and light painter John Clayton will cover color theory including the color wheel, complements, split complements, warm and cool colors, and the organizing of color shapes.

We begin in the studio, where there will be a lesson on values and other types of color examples such as analogous color and triadic color schemes. Students will also make color charts and then create some examples by applying these lessons to life through venturing outside to paint the landscape. Materials included in cost of workshop, though we encourage you to bring your own brushes.
