Session 3/3: Drawing and Color Field Painting Through The Eyes Of Helen Frankenthaler with Laura Shabott

June 25 @ 9:30 am 1:00 pm

Tuesday, June 25, 9:30am-1pm

$150 includes model fee, $350 for all three ($100 savings), $10 discount for members

Helen Frankenthaler (1928–2011) contributed to modern art by introducing color field painting to her contemporaries and by continuing to influence future generations, including ours.

Your workshop begins with a lecture on Frankenthaler’s works made in Provincetown and continues with two and half hours of drawing and painting from a model with a group critique at the end. Each of you, no matter what your level of experience, will leave with original artwork and increased skills in color, use of materials and how memory can be incorporated into working from life.
