June 26 @ 9:30 am 12:30 pm

Wednesday-Friday, June 26-28, 9:30am-12:30pm

3 sessions | $210 for members, $225 for non-members

Materials included in price of workshop

If you have felt curious but intimidated by the wide range of materials and processes that is printmaking, this is the class for you!

In this three-day workshop students will get a taste of a variety of approaches to printmaking. On day one we will make monoprints both by hand and using the press. Day two will be an exploration of relief printing using soft, easy to carve material that can be printed by hand on its own, or on top of in-progress prints. On day three, we will explore drypoint etching. Each day students will have the option of trying something new, or continuing the process they worked on the previous day. Throughout the class we will discuss proper use of an etching press, ink, paper, and thinking in layers to develop an image. No experience needed, just come ready to explore.
