The Members’ 12×12 Exhibition and Silent Auction

Every summer, PAAM members sell their artwork in The Members’ 12×12 Exhibition and Silent Auction, one of our biggest fundraisers that just so happens to be great for artists.

Bidding starts at $125 for all pieces, and climbs by demand in $25 increments until the closing of the online silent auction. Sales are split 50/50 between the artist and PAAM and some artists even elect to donate their commission back to us, making them “100% to PAAM Artists.” Bidders know that they’re supporting not only living, working artists, but also the anchor of the Provincetown art colony.


Artist Guidelines

ELIGIBILITY

All members in good standing may submit to this exhibition: membership must be valid through September, 2024, and work from previous exhibitions must be picked up. Anyone can join or renew at any time online or at the Museum (open Wednesday-Monday, 11am-5pm, and until 8pm on Fridays). This is an “open” exhibition: all work that is submitted is included in the exhibition as long as membership and artwork requirements are met. All work in this exhibition is listed for sale in the online silent auction, bidding opens at $125 and climbs in $25 increments by demand. 

DROPPING OFF WORK

Drop-Off Day is Tuesday, July 16 from 12-4pm. Two-dimensional pieces must be exactly 12” x 12”. If your work is framed, the outside dimensions of the frame should be 12” x 12”. Three-dimensional pieces should be 12″ in at least one direction, and shouldn’t exceed 12″ in any direction (the piece should be able to fit inside a 12” cube). All artwork should be dry and structurally sound upon arrival. If artwork is not on a flat panel, it should be equipped with an appropriate hanging device (e.g. wire, d-rings, sawtooth, bracket).

You can submit your Artwork Receipt online here–it will save you the time of filling out the receipt at Drop-Off. If you can’t make it on Drop-Off Day, you’re welcome to drop off the prior week when the Museum is open: Wednesday-Monday from 11am-5pm, or ship your work to PAAM. Shipped works must arrive by Tuesday, July 16. Please either submit the online Artwork Receipt or include a printed copy with your work.

PICKING UP WORK

For this exhibition, pick-up arrangements will be made with artists after the close of the Silent Auction.

    By checking this box, you are indicating that ALL proceeds from the sale of your piece go to PAAM. If you do NOT check the box, PAAM receives a 50% commission on the sale of your piece (this is not considered a donation). If you elect to be a 100% to PAAM Artist, you will receive an acknowledgement letter for your taxes, special placement on the exhibition wall, and a special section on the bidding website.

    • One work per artist may be submitted per exhibition. • All exhibited artwork is covered by the Museum’s Exhibition Insurance Policy. PAAM is not responsible for loss or damage to work left beyond the pickup date. • Unsold works are the artist’s responsibility to retrieve or arrange to be shipped. • Work left beyond 90 days of the pickup date becomes property of PAAM. • No work may be withdrawn from the exhibition prior to the closing date. • Artist payments are sent within 30 business days, or 6 weeks.
