Values

Provincetown Art Association and Museum (PAAM)

In 2022, we initiated a conversation among our members, staff, board, students, teaching artists, and other stakeholders about PAAM’s core values.

We received the same words in response over and over: Community. Preservation of the past. A place for artists. Hearing from our community reaffirmed what we know to be true, that PAAM plays a vital role in the past, the present, and the future of Provincetown art and artists.

From these responses, PAAM’s staff and board collaborated to develop this set of core values that define our organization and guide everything from our daily work to our long-term institutional planning. We constantly strive to embody these values and encourage our larger PAAM community to do the same while engaging in PAAM’s offerings.

These values frame PAAM’s vision for the present and future and act as guides in all our work as stewards of the Provincetown arts community
