What Can PAAM Do For You?

When Megan Hinton, recipient of PAAM’s 2024 Award for Artistic Excellence, arrived on Cape Cod not knowing anyone and searching for community, she found that community at PAAM.

Connecting artists to each other and to the greater community is fundamental to PAAM – it was written into our mission in 1921 and continues to be our driving force over 100 years later.

This year, Land, Place, Identity: PAAM’s Inaugural Symposium on American Art welcomed scholars to share their work interrogating Provincetown’s distinct artistic selfhood. Our new Studio Nights, low-cost art-making sessions in our Museum School, deepened participants’ connections to Provincetown artists both past and present.

Familiar offerings grew in popularity this year: The Members’ 12×12 Exhibition and Silent Auction brought in more than $46,000 for member artists while raising funds for PAAM; the 25th Annual Secret Garden Tour welcomed a record-breaking 850 guests; and our free-of-charge Art Reach program for Cape Cod youth filled to capacity with enthusiastic young artists almost immediately.

What can PAAM do for you? PAAM can connect you. PAAM can welcome you. PAAM can open the door to the community of artists and art lovers that walk through our doors all year long to create and engage.

Become a member for the first time or renew your membership. ● Take a workshop in the Museum School ● Submit to one of our many member exhibitions. ● Volunteer for the Secret Garden Tour. ● Bring your friends to Free Friday. ● Attend a Fredi Schiff Levin Lecture or a jazz concert. ● Enjoy one of the most dynamic exhibition programs in any American museum.
