ART-MAKING IN THE MUSEUM SCHOOL STUDIOS

PAAM’s Museum school also offers art-based workshops led by a local teaching artist for school groups looking for a more hands-on approach to learning. Workshops can be designed to fit your school group based on: current exhibitions, PAAM’s history and permanent collection, or a specific medium such as printmaking. Reservations are required and can be made by filling out a form at least 4 weeks prior to your preferred date. Workshops are generally 2-3 hours and are offered at the flare rate of $125 per hour.  Maximum group size: 25 students.

If your school has budgetary constraints that make our workshops inaccessible for your students, we encourage you to contact us and we negotiate on a case by case basis. You can also read about our Lenore Ross Curating Program.

THE LENORE ROSS CURATING PROGRAM

Every Fall, PAAM offers a limited number of workshops for the Cape Cod community free of charge as part of our The Lenore Ross Student and Educator Curating Program. This multidisciplinary arts integration program where students, teachers, and school administrators, and other community members engage with works of art chosen from the PAAM’s permanent collection, and create exhibitions in response to collection artwork. Curated exhibitions may be installed at PAAM or if applicable, the school or alternative location.

PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT

PAAM offers workshops available for K–12 educators who want to incorporate museum based education, new ways of connecting, or innovative techniques of art into their classroom. Professional development opportunities and pricing are available upon request.
