Summer Youth Programs

PAAM Youth Education is pleased to offer summer programming for youth ages 4 – 12.

A series of short sessions will explore a wide variety of media, topics and projects including but not limited to painting, drawing, sculpture, printmaking, and fiber arts.

All summer programs will be held at PAAM and will incorporate both indoor and outdoor spaces and may include walking field trips around Provincetown historic neighborhoods, beaches, and galleries.

Little Artists Summer Program: Ages 4-8

Little Artists offers a creative, engaging space for early learners to dig into the sensory experience of art-making. A wide variety of media will be explored in processed-focused projects that incorporate summer fun.

Price: $60 per week, $320 for full program (6 weeks)

Timeline: July 10 – August 16, Mondays & Wednesdays, 10am – 12pm

  • Session One: July 10 & 12

  • Session Three: July 24 & 26 [FULL]
  • Session Four: July 31 & August 2
  • Session Five: August 7 & 9
  • Session Six: August 14 & 16

Young Artist 4-Day Workshops: Ages 9-12

Price: $120 per workshop, $320 for all three workshops

Timeline: July 10 – August 16, Mondays & Wednesdays, 1:30-3:30pm

Session One: Portraits with MiYoung Sohn: July 10, 12, 17, & 19

During the Portraits Workshop, students will explore ways of seeing and thinking through various approaches to portrait drawings, such as self-portrait drawing from memory, portrait drawing of each other, drawing oneself as another creature and drawing one’s pet as human. Students will share and discuss each other’s work at the end of each session along with collaborative drawing exercises.

Session Two: Sculpture with Grace Emmet: July 24, 26, 31, & August 2

Explore the three-dimensional world of sculpture art! In this workshop, students will get a chance to play and build with Cardboard, Clay, and Papier Mache! By learning the fundamentals of form and sculpture, students will walk away with new skills and finished 3D artwork of their very own. 

Session Three: Mixed Media with Agata Storer: August 7, 9, 14, & 16

Discover how to mix different creative art forms together in this mixed media workshop. Over the course of four days, students will get to work with a variety of different projects and break the boundaries between different art forms.
